Friday , October 25 – Jaffa/Tel Aviv  Fly to Israel.

Saturday,  October 26  Meet guide and driver; drive to Tel Aviv.  Check in to hotel (up to 2 hours after the Sabbath ends at around  6:35 pm) Dan Panorama is across the street from the Mediterranean Sea and within minutes you find yourself on an inviting sandy beach with warm and clear waters. For a truly Mediterranean experience, explore the Carmel Market - one of the largest open markets in Israel that has a wide variety of seasonal fruits and vegetables as well as meats, fish and baked goods. Dinner at Hotel. Overnight Dan Panorama Tel Aviv*.

Sunday October 27 - Along the Coast Breakfast  & Check out of hotel. Caesarea National Park, whose fascinating ruins include a reconstructed Roman theater, harbor, hippodrome and aqueducts. Drive to Haifa; free time to shop or stop for a panoramic view of Bahai Gardens (Terraces) and northern coastline. Continue to Mt. Carmel, where Elijah confronted the prophets of Baal.  Lunch in Druze-style restaurant. Visit Megiddo, one of the most important cities in antiquity and site of one of the most famous excavations in Israel. Nazareth; visit Greek Orthodox Church of the Annunciation, built over the spring which supplied water to the small Jewish town of Nazareth 2,000 years ago. Walk through Old Nazareth to the Church of the Annunciation; celebrate Mass or free time to visit the town.  Drive to the Kinneret. Dinner at hotel. Overnight  Ein Gev* on Sea of Galilee.

Monday October 28 – Around the Sea of Galilee  Breakfast at hotel. Visit Magdala Project, site of excavations of 1st Century Jewish fishing village where synagogue from the time of Jesus has been discovered. Visit the Mount of Beatitudes, traditional site of the Sermon on the Mount. Visit Tabgha, the traditional site of the multiplication of the loaves and the fishes. Tour Capernaum, the base of Jesus’ ministry in the Galilee and site of a beautiful Byzantine-period synagogue. Enjoy lunch of St Peters fish at restaurant along the water. Go on boat ride on the Sea of Galilee. Visit the Jesus Boat Museum. Drive to Yardenit, baptismal site. Opportunity for baptismal ceremony. Dinner at hotel. After Dinner:  Visit diamond factory.  Overnight  Ein Gev* on Sea of Galilee.

Tuesday October 29 – The Dead Sea    Breakfast  & Check out of hotel. Drive south via Jordan Valley past Jericho, one of the oldest cities in the world.  Continue to Masada; ascend via cable car; tour Herod’s fortress and site of the Zealots’ last stand against the Romans in 73 A.D.; descend via cable car. Lunch on own at Masada. Visit Ein Gedi National Park, an oasis in the desert, where David fled from Saul.
Float/swim in Dead Sea, the lowest place on earth (towels available at site)**  Drive up to Jerusalem, stopping at Mt Scopus for a panoramic view of city; celebrate arrival to Jerusalem. Dinner at hotel.  Overnight  Dan Panorama Jerusalem*.

Wednesday October 30 – Jerusalem of Three Religions

Buffet breakfast. Drive to Old City; tour on Temple Mount.  Visit City of David, where Jerusalem began 3,000 years ago; opportunity to go on water walk through Hezekiah’s Tunnel, carved out of the rock over 2700 years ago. Visit Davidson Archaeological Park. Continue to the Kotel (the Western Wall). Walk along Via Dolorosa.  Lunch on own in Christian Quarter of Old City.  Visit Church of the Holy Sepulcher. Free time in Christian Quarter. Walk along the Cardo, the ancient north-south street in the Old City through the Jewish Quarter to Mt Zion. Visit the traditional Room of the Last Supper and the Tomb of King David. Dinner at Notre Dame of Jerusalem Center. Overnight Dan Panorama Jerusalem*

Thursday October 31 – Bethlehem and Israel Museum

Buffet breakfast. Drive to Bethlehem; visit Shepherds Field and the Church of the Nativity. Shopping followed by lunch on own at local restaurant.  Return to Jerusalem and visit Israel Museum including model of 2nd Temple period Jerusalem and the Shrine of the Book. Dinner at hotel.  Opportunity to stroll on the Ben Yehudah Street promenade.  Overnight  Dan Panorama Jerusalem*

Friday November 1 – Yad Vashem  Buffet breakfast.   Guided tour of Yad Vashem Holocaust Memorial & Museum.  Lunch on own in Machaneh Yehuda, Jerusalem’s open-air market.  Free time to explore and shop in downtown Jerusalem. Before sunset, drive to area of Western Wall in Old City as Jews welcome the Sabbath.  Sabbath dinner at hotel. Overnight  Dan Panorama Jerusalem*

Saturday November 2 – Tel Aviv  Late breakfast & check out of hotel.  Free time & lunch in Christian Quarter of Old City. Drive to Tel Aviv. Walking tour of Old Jaffa Festive final dinner in local restaurant.  Transfer to airport; fly back to US. 

Sunday November 3 – Back in US
