Where to stay in Sydney? 

Because there are over 300 hotels in Sydney, finding the right place to stay can be a daunting task. The good news is Signature has partnered with some of the best properties in the city, which I visited during my recent stay. Park Hyatt Sydney

Sydney’s premier luxury property is located at the foot of the Harbour Bridge, and across from the Opera House. This unbeatable location, combined with an outstanding room product, service, facilities, and staff, makes the Park Hyatt the top hotel in Sydney and the city’s rate leader. Highlights:

  • Location, location, location - no other Sydney hotel comes close

Langham Sydney

Located on in the Rocks district and convenient to the Central Business District (CBD), Langham Sydney is a great choice for clients seeking a smaller, more intimate luxury hotel with great service, dining, facilities. Highlights:

  • Located in the Rocks Historic district and convenient to the CBD
  • Some of the largest rooms in Sydney, starting at 527 Sq. Ft. of space
  • Elegant, intimate, bright public spaces
  • Recently renovated and in terrific condition throughout
  • Day spa and one of the largest indoor swimming pools in Sydney
  • Don’t miss the afternoon tea service in the Palm Court
  • Get a lift in Langham’s pink courtesy car – a must!

Shangri-La Sydney

Located in the Rocks area, on the edge of the Central Business District. This is a high-rise, offering 70% of rooms with Sydney Harbor views. Hotel is one of Sydney’s premier business and leisure hotels, due to its great room product, classic décor, service, location, facilities. Highlights:

  • 565 rooms and suites, all with views of either Darling Harbor, Walsh Bay, or Sydney Harbor.
  • Rooms are very spacious and start at 430 sq. ft. of space
  • Hotel offers a CHI spa, gym, indoor pool
  • Horizon Lounge, bar, and restaurant on 36th floor with spectacular views of the city
  • Rooms are all renovated and are in great condition
  • Book Horizon Club rooms with access to the lounge on the top floor, offering breakfast, various presentations through the day, and drinks in the evening
  • Favorite rooms: Horizon Club Opera House View category

InterContinental Sydney

Located just 5 minutes’ walk from Circular Quay, the heart of Sydney. Hotel has been one of the city’s premier properties for over 25 years. The lobby and public areas are housed in the historic Treasury building. The hotel is the tower behind this landmark, with many rooms offering fantastic views of Sydney. Highlights:

  • Outstanding location in the Central Business District
  • 509 rooms and suites
  • Many rooms with fantastic views of the Harbor, or Botanical Gardens
  • Club InterContinental on the top floor, with terrace and stunning views, offering breakfast, all day presentations, drinks in the evening
  • Don’t miss drinks in the Cortile atrium and dinner at 117
  • Favorite rooms: Opera House View and Sydney Harbour view rooms

Sofitel Darling Harbour

The newest international hotel brand property built in Sydney, in the heart of Darling Harbour and convenient to the CBD. Hotel showcases modern design and a terrific rooftop club with great views of Sydney. Most recent addition to the Signature portfolio. Highlights:

  • 590 rooms and suites
  • Outdoor infinity pool
  • Great dining facilities, including Atelier Restaurant, French fine dining
  • Club Millesime on the 35th floor, offering breakfast, snacks, evening drinks
  • Spacious, contemporary design rooms starting at 350 sq. ft. of space
  • Favorite rooms: Luxury Darling Harbour View category

Hyatt Regency Sydney 

Hyatt’s second property in Sydney is in the heart of the Central Business District. Hotel was recently renovated, and design is modern. Several rooms offer views of Darling Harbour. Hotel offers great rates and very good value in a central location. Highlights:

  • 892 rooms, including 45 suites. Rooms start at 380 sq. ft. of space
  • Regency Club on rooftop floor, with great views of Darling Harbour
  • Great dining venues, including Sailmaker and Zephyr
  • Option to upgrade to Club level access – a great value
  • Favorite rooms: Deluxe Harbor view Balcony King category 

InterContinental Double Bay

InterConti’s second hotel in Sydney, just 15 minutes’ drive from Sydney’s Central Business District, has an upscale, intimate atmosphere. Hotel is in the heart of the Double Bay neighborhood, walking distance to the beach, marina, shops, and restaurants in the area. Hotel is a great choice for clients who want a small hotel in a more tranquil/residential setting, not in the city center. Highlights:

  • 140 rooms and suites 
  • Formerly the Ritz-Carlton Hotel
  • Recently renovated and upgraded. Hotel and rooms are in great condition
  • Rooftop terrace with a bar and small swimming pool with great views
  • InterContinental Club on second floor, offering breakfast, snacks, drinks
  • Rooms either face the courtyard, village view, or bayside
  • Near the Edgecliff ferry stop, which takes you to Circular Quay In minutes
  • Favorite room category: King Bay View
