Rocky Mountaineer Journey in the USA

Our trip started with a flight into Denver in the early morning hours arriving at 8 a.m. We were lucky enough to be able to check into our hotel, the Rally Hotel.  Located next to Coors Field it was the perfect location for exploring Denver and Union Station. Because we arrived as early as we did, we were able to take a tour of the Rocky Mountains as well.

Our first morning on the train started at 8 a.m.  As soon as we arrived, we were seated and given an introduction to all of the staff and safety instructions.  From that time on, we were given superior service with breakfast being served along with refreshments.  It was about an 8 hour trip getting into Glenwood Springs Colorado.  The views were incredible.  The entire day the staff took great care of us serving lunch and refreshments.  The food served was very good.  Our first day ended by departing the train and checking into Hotel Denver, an antique collectors hotel.  Each room is filled with antique beds and furniture collected over the years by its owner.

Our second day on the train started at 7:00 a.m.  Once aboard the Rocky Mountaineer, staff started serving breakfast and refreshments.  It was a much shorter day arriving in Moab Utah by 1 p.m.  The views again were incredible.  Today was more about the Red Rocks.  The first day was more about the Rocky Mountains.  Rocky Mountaineer provided transfers to our hotel the Homewood Suites in downtown Moab.  After checking in, we quickly found our tour.  It was a tour of Arches National Park. Again a highly recommended tour.

You can end your adventure here and spend as many days as you would like or continue on into Salt Lake City or Las Vegas.  We added a day in Salt Lake City and enjoyed a quick walking tour.
